This privacy policy describes how Starmaker Tools for Teachers (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with our Pinterest publishing application. This application is used solely by the store owner to automate the posting of educational product listings to Pinterest.

What this application does

This is a private, single-user automation tool. It reads product data from the Starmaker Tools for Teachers catalog on Teachers Pay Teachers and posts pins to our Pinterest business account on our behalf. It does not serve end users, collect registrations, or process any third-party data.

Information we collect

We do not collect personal information from any user, visitor, or third party. The application does not have a user-facing interface, does not use cookies, and does not operate analytics or tracking of any kind.

The only data the application handles is our own product titles, descriptions, and image URLs sourced from our public Teachers Pay Teachers store listing.

How we use Pinterest’s API

The application connects to Pinterest via Pinterest’s official API using OAuth 2.0 credentials belonging to our Pinterest business account. Access tokens are stored locally on our own hardware and are never shared, transmitted to third parties, or stored in any cloud service.

We use the Pinterest API solely to create and schedule pins linking to our own educational product listings. We do not read, access, or store any Pinterest user data beyond what is required to authenticate our own account.

Data storage and security

No personal data is stored. API credentials are kept in a local environment file on a private machine. No data is transmitted to any server other than Pinterest’s API endpoints during the pin-posting process.

Third-party services

This application interacts with Pinterest’s API. Pinterest’s own privacy practices are governed by Pinterest’s Privacy Policy. Product links point to our store on Teachers Pay Teachers, governed by TPT’s Privacy Policy.

Children’s privacy

This application does not collect data from anyone, including minors. Our Pinterest account promotes educational materials for classroom teachers; it is not directed at students or children.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above. Because this application has no end users, no separate notification process is required.
